Deciding The End

Last week I was hired by Samaritan's Purse to produce a video for the Center. It's all about motivating young lads to get tested. Reducing Stigma is a very important issue here because people are so afraid of knowing their HIV negative or positive status. Who wouldn't be!

So I wrote the script but had to cut off an actress for budget reasons. It's the story of a basketball player, actually a student, that meets a girl on a game, ends up in bed at the blink of an eye and afterwards both are haunted by fear. (predictable) The thing is, since I cut off a girl, who was supposed to be this kid's official girlfriend... I don't know if I should end up the story with this new adventurous couple staying together after all the turbulence or leave it at just a fling.

the final scene is when the girl receives a call and says:

Did you get tested then? What happenned???..... Negative!!!! Im really glad
I have something to tell you... mine is positive.

CUT, we see our guy jumping happily as he says... Positive??? It came out positive??
ZOOM BACK, we see him at his work place (a maquila, textile fabric) and he shouts outloud, ¡Hey guys!!!! I'm going to be a dad!!! Everyone congratulates him. FADE OUT.

So I don't know what to do, originally this was the other girl, but I had to film it with the same one... I don't want to change the main actor here... but then again... bla bla bla!!!!

Just a fling?? Or can a fling be a keeper???

PopCorn Days

Sometimes things happen... things that could alter your temper, or your mood, or your attitude... Things that in a way, annoy you... but really they shouldn't cause it's none of your business. When these things start happening around you... smile to yourself and imagine yourself at a theater and watch the living actors dwell in a pond of stupidity - forgive my cruelty- but it's right there when people think they are soooo smart that they make such fools of themselves. That my friend is when I sit back and wait... I take out my popcorn bag, relax and watch for the show ahead will be intense. Ohhh nothing like Hollywood, real life is so much better. Some people think that water will never clear the flood... but the river always goes back the way it came from. So sit back and watch. No need to do anything else... but enjoy. Yes, I like it with butter, thank you.

Bittersweet gymphony

The Fiap awards were held this week and the music piece I told you about, got nothing.
I really believed there was something there, I was even sure.
But then I guess I will have to keep trying. It was a really tough competition tough...

There's only a month now for Jade Awards, and we're back at zero.

I'm not actually down, but I have this huge compromise in my chest. At the agency, things are like a mad house. People running up and down, there's this huge event coming up so our client has us on running like hamster on the speed wheel. Here's the piece, so you can tell me what you think.
